A Sip
Sometimes readers only need to wet their whistle.
That's the principle behind a Sip. We're looking
for gay and lesbian erotic stories between 3000-8000
words for our Sip line. (Pieces shorter than
the minimum probably won't make the cut, but
pieces longer than 8000 words might.) The successful
Sip will have strong characters, a well developed
plot, and a fully realized conclusion, as well
as erotic or romantic sex. Gay or lesbian content
is essential. Exclusive electronic rights are
required for one year unless otherwise negotiated,
and these stories pay standard royalty rates.
So, do you have a very short story? Give Torquere's
Sip line a try. Send all submissions to submissions@torquerepress.com,
as either a word file or rtf attachment, including
in the body of the e-mail a cover letter giving
a brief synopsis of the story and your contact

Cal for Submissions
In 2008, Torquere Press decided to use its September anniversary and its Sip short story line for a little good work. Dedicating the
month to supporting the fight for equal rights in marriage, Torquere and our
authors published gay and lesbian wedding themed stories, with the proceeds
going to charities such as the Lambda Legal Fund. To date, more than $10000.00 has been donated to charities.
In 2010, our authors have chosen Doctors without Borders as the recipient of our anniversary Sip Blitz, with the theme of
Healing Hearts at the core of the stories.
We're looking for m/m stories with a medical, healing twist--and an international flavor is encouraged! All heat levels are welcome, and happy endings are strongly preferred. Manuscripts should be original works of 3,000 to 8,000 words; no reprints, please. Authors will sign a one-year agreement to donate all royalties to Doctors Without Borders, with the understanding that Torquere Press will match all donations 100%. Deadline for submission is July 15, 2010. Halloween Sip Blitz
Ghosts. Ghouls. Things that go bump in the night. We love 'em, and we hope you do, too. This Halloween, we want to blitz our readers with Halloween Sips, which are royalty paying stories from 3000 -8000 words. Successful Sips will be romantic, well-written stories about spooky people and places, from vampires to magicians, from haunted houses to old cemeteries. M/M stories are preferred, but some lesbian Sips may be accepted. Sips pay 25% of the cover price on distributor sales and 35% of the cover price on all Torquere site sales. Submissions should be sent to submissions@torquerepress.com with Halloween Sip in the subject line. All Halloween Sips are due by September 1, 2010.

Christmas Sips – Naughty and Nice
Which list would your boys fall on this Christmas? Naughty, or Nice? It doesn't matter, because we want both! Give us your best version of naughty or nice for our Christmas Sips this year! Stories should have a holiday theme, should feature gay or lesbian characters, and should range between 3000-8000 words. We want romantic, sexy stories with great characters and engaging plots! Sips are a royalty paying line, and pay 25% of the cover price on distributor sales and 35% of the cover price on all Torquere site sales.
